SUMMARY

I joined the Wix Pricing Plans team as Product Design Lead, taking on many responsibilities including leading the design team, mentoring interns, contributing to product management and strategic goals. One of my proudest achievements was leading the effort to platformize the product, enabling other Wix products to integrate with Pricing Plans and helping users monetize their content or services (e.g., Bookings, Blog, Forum, Events, Videos, etc.). This initiative gained significant traction during the Covid lockdown when businesses shifted online and embraced subscription or membership monetization models. As a result, Pricing Plans became one of the strategic products in the Wix ecosystem, featuring prominently in company roadmaps and contributing to the increase of Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) for users' sites.

Users can create and offer their plans with options for one-time payments or recurring payments on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis. The inline plan creation form follows a 'what you see is what you get' model, with the plan preview displaying as you create from scratch. Settings allow users to customize basic functions such as setting up tax, sending invoices, and choosing payment providers.

Wix Pricing Plans was initially built to assist Wix Bookings in selling their users' services as part of a membership plan. Our product goal was to evolve into a platform fully integrated with any app from the Wix App Market. I took on the challenge from a product design standpoint and had to create design guidelines and documentation, collaborating with many teams involved. Setting up subscriptions and memberships could be achieved from both sides, allowing users to create and manage plans directly from other Wix products.

We've built the Subscriptions model, enabling site users to manage all their subscriptions, whether they've sold gym memberships, product subscriptions on their store, or sent recurring invoices. This was part of our platformization effort, requiring collaboration with numerous teams and stakeholders using the subscriptions model.
